What is a Freight Broker?
A freight broker is a person or company that brings together a shipper and a qualified carrier. A substantial amount of over-the-road freight transportation is handled by freight brokers. Freight brokerage services and companies let you focus on other critical aspects of your business, optimizing productivity and providing you with a competitive advantage. Companies are looking for seamless freight flow and on-time delivery, and this is where freight brokers can help. We at Haul Alot Logistics can handle complicated lanes and supply capacity for your company’s shipping needs through our freight brokerage solutions.
What are the Procedures?
- Load Scheduling
After tendering your load to carriers that passed met minimum requirements, we will place your load in a transportation management system, or TMS. It is specialized software for booking and managing loads that lets us operate more efficiently. Also, through TMS, we can find reputable and vetted carriers to ensure the best service for you. When the load booking is confirmed, we schedule or confirm pick-up and delivery time with the client or client’s agent.
- Loading
Freight loading is one of the main stages in the transportation process, and brokers play a huge role in it. Our Freight Agents will connect with the drivers frequently to ensure they arrived on time, and manage the process of safe cargo loading. Once the carrier signs the Proof of Loading becomes responsible for your freight.
- Dispatch
Our Freight Agents then makes sure the carrier signs or receives all necessary documents required for transit and gets dispatched.
- Transit
While your freight is in transit, our Freight Agents monitors it through the TMS. With advanced software, shippers have complete transparency into the shipping process and get regular updates. Shippers/Clients stay up to date with their freight status and can be sure everything goes smoothly.
- Offloading
During the offloading process, the consignee signs the Transporters’ Proof of Delivery book or issues Delivery Note. Once the carrier confirms successful unloading and completes the necessary paperwork, Haul A lot Logistics gets the paperwork and invoices the sender. The carrier will be liable for any damages or loss incurred to the products while in their possession.
- Invoicing and Billing
The final stage of the freight shipping process is billing when the Haul Alot Logistics issues and invoice to the shipper and the shipper pays the bill.

Live Streaming Video Inspections
The new Live Streaming Video Inspection program allows clients to have a live observation visual when our inspectors are conducting inspections on Loading Supervisions at a pre-scheduled time via live video chat. Because the inspector can inspect your shipment on site via video feed from a centralized computer, you can watch the whole inspection in the comfort of your office.
Benefits:
- Guided Inspections
- Verify product specifications via live video and pictures
- Visibility of the finished product before shipment or during loading
Here's how it works.
Once a client has scheduled a Live Streaming Video Inspection, our Inspector uses a smartphone/Tablet with front and rear cameras (with 4G or Wi-Fi connection) to send a live video feed to the client before the inspector conducts the inspection at that specific prescheduled time. Once the video link is established, you simply give the inspector instructions on where to point the camera. After the inspection a report is sent along with a copy of the live inspection video.

Alternatively, if a deficiency is discovered before the cargo has been sent overseas, the reputational and monetary risks are minimized.
Additionally, if a product deficiency is detected during a Pre-Shipment Inspection or Loading Supervisions, your companies has greater leverage to demand product fixes by the factory at the factory's expense
